Research Description I am part of the CODATA Taiwan Committee, serving as its
executive secretary from 2007 to 2013. I am also a member of the

programs. We measured temporal properties of OpenStreetMap
datasets to better understand the unevenness in user participation
and data quality of volunteered geographic information.

For a citizen science project (TaiRON), we designed a communal
data workflow to acquire and aggregate high-quality user
observations. Moreover, we are building a research data repository
as part of a cross-disciplinary regional study on the Chia-Nan plain
of Taiwan. Together with legal scholars, we are working toward
a communal approach to personal data management where
community members pool sensitive information about themselves
for mutual benefit.
