Academia Sinica (1999-2003) sion applications. I am also interested in developing sparse-signal processing algorithms
for both analysis and synthesis purposes. Current research focuses include dictionary learn-
ing, object detection and recognition, visual surveillance systems, facial expression analysis,
and age insensitive face recognition. Speci c topics include the development of more ef-
fective algorithms for co-sparse oriented analysis dictionary learning, as well as the application of deep convolutional network learning
techniques for object detection.
