摘要
Energy efficiency has become one of the most important design goals for computer systems. Many studies have been conducted on saving energy by using different types of techniques in circuits, systems, and software. In recent years, researchers have expanded their examination of the environmental impacts of electronic systems. The impacts start from manufacturing, operation, to disposal. This tutorial will provide an overview of existing work on different aspects on green computing.
BIO
Dr. Yung-Hsiang Lu is an associate professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University, USA. His research focuses on resource management, in particular energy management. He is a senior member of the IEEE and the ACM. He is an associate editor of ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems and ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems. In 2004, he received the Career Award from National Science Foundation. He received PhD and MSEE from Stanford University, USA, and BSEE from National Taiwan University.
