The proposal to establish within the Academia Sinica a new research center, "Research Center for Information Technology Innovation" was officially approved by the Council of the Academia Sinica on Oct. 14, 2006.
This new Research Center will be the third one in the Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences along with the Research Center for Applied Sciences and Research Center for Environmental Changes.
All the research projects currently conducted within the Infocomm Center, Institute of Information Science will be moved over to the new Research Center for Information Technology Innovation.
新消息！本所提議成立的「資訊科技創新研究中心 (Research Center for Information Technology Innovation) 」已於2006年10月14日獲得評議會核可通過。
此中心將是本院數理組，除了「應用科學研究中心」、「環境變遷研究中心」之外的第三個研究中心。
而目前在本所資通中心執行的研究計畫也將轉移至此一新的「資訊科技創新研究中心」。
