Abstract

Question Answering (QA) is a computer science discipline within the fields of Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing. In recent years, the availability of large scale knowledge bases such as Knowledge Graph (Google), NELL (CMU) and Yago (Max Planck Institute) provides an opportunity for knowledge based QA systems. In this talk, we will first introduce information extraction techniques for knowledge harvesting and semantic parsing techniques for text understanding, then we will demonstrate how to construct a question answering system in education domain.
